Injuries
Yes, we do have a lot of injuries. A lot. This week, Brett Farve will be our starting QB as Tony Romo doesn't yet feel comfortable throwing with his broken pinkie. LT is at 95% and will play this week. Willie Parker is out again, and Mewelde Moore is still the starter. Also, Chris Chambers will be a game time decision."
Response to "Why would you trade Brett Farve?"
When asked why he tried to trade Brett Farve, NMFC executive Brandon Malinak responded:
"Brett Farve is our starter. You are wrong when you say that we tried to get rid of him. We were strongly opposed to trading him, and he himself was aware of that. I mean, who would want to trade Brett Farve? He might have had a bad game, but he is still one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. The only reason he was a part of the trade is because trading him was the only way that we could get who we wanted."
There is no longer a trade in the making between NMFC and White Chocolate, and Brett Farve will remain on the team.

Statement from Coach Malinak
"The trade between us and White Chocolate has fizzed out. We were 100% into this trade, but they obviously were not. Their staff wants too much for too little. Brett Farve should be enough for almost anybody. Not to mention that we were throwing in a great WR. But, I guess it wasn't to be. Anyway, us having Brett will be good for us and bad for them in the long run. I'm not sure if they know what, or who, they are passing up on."

Captain Chosen
The Nate McLouth FanClub franchise is happy to announce that Willie Parker is the 2008-2009 team captain. Willie was selected for this role because even with his injury, he is one of the team leaders in point total, and that even on the bench, he is bringing great spirit to this team. Congratulations to Willie on this major achievement.

Coach Interview
The following was an interview of Sarah's League Head Coach, Brandon Malinak. The interview was conducted by Freezified Productions along with Malinak Inc.
Reporter: Hello Coach.
Brandon: Hi!
Reporter: Well, to start off, where did the name, Nate McLouth Fan Club, originate anyway?
Brandon: Well, Nate McLouth is the star of the Pittsburgh Pirates. PNC Park, where the Pirates play, is located right next to Heinz Field, where our sister team, the Steelers, play. Because of that, we thought it would be great to name the team after him.
Reporter: Where do you guys play?
Brandon: We play about twenty minutes away from downtown Pittsburgh, in the small town of Export. We play at Polamalu Field.
Reporter: No we get to football. Your team is 5-2. Does having two losses concern you at all?
Brandon: Well, saying that we are tied for first place, no. Anyway, both of our losses were very close games. We have never lost by more than eight points.
Reporter: Last week, you lost to Big Shoes to Fill. What are your thoughts concerning that game?
Brandon: Well, the answer is simple. Our team didn't play as well as they could have. With Tony Romo on the bench with a broken pinkie, we started our veteran quarterback Brett Farve. Sadly, he only passed for 197 yards, and threw two interceptions. Also, with Willie Parker on the bench, LT felt that it was up to him to score most of the points. I think this was the reason that he only ran for 41 yards. I do have to give props to Mewelde Moore and Antonio Bryant. Moore ran for 120 yards and two touchdowns in Parker's absence, and Bryant, who we acquired late in the week, had 115 yards and a touchdown. With only two players scoring over 10 points though, it is very hard to win a game.
Reporter: What do you plan to do differently this week against Viking World Order?
Brandon: This week, we aren't going to change very much, but we might try a slightly different starting lineup. We feel that we have an easier match-up this week than last week, but we aren't going to get too cocky.
Reporter: Thanks for your time, and we wish you luck!
Brandon: Thanks!
